GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome to the Recreational Aircraft Association, Calgary Chapter.
The RAAC was formed to bring together people who have an interest in recreational aviation.
The Calgary Chapter has approximately 50 members building and flying a variety of experimental and production aircraft.

Mark your calendars for August 25. We are hosting our fly-in breakfast once again at the Cunim flying club, Black Diamond.

 

Join us for lunch every Tuesday at the New Dynasty Buffet.

Off Memorial Drive by the Franklin LRT. The restaurant address is Bay 15, 575 - 28 St. S.E.

General aviation discussions are the topic of the day.

Message from the President.

RAA Annual breakfast. The RAA and the Cu-Nim gliding Club are having our fly-in/drive-in breakfast again at the Cu-Nim Gliding Club Airport (CEH2 Black Diamond) on August 25, 2011.Cost is $7 per plate. Last year we had about 10 planes fly out, lets beat that this year. Overnight camping facilities! several people came out Friday and camped over.. There will also be discount gliding again. Don’t miss it.

RAAC Monthly General Meetings

Date: Meetings are normally held on the fourth Monday of each month, starting at 7pm.
This year we will meet on Holiday Monday's.
Please call other members to find out if there is a alternate meeting location.
There are no formal meetings in July and August, but an impromptu gathering
around a barbeque and/or an airplane has been known to happen.

Monthly Meetings are 7:00 to 9:30 PM
Location: SAIT's "Art SmithAero Center" hangar just north  of Tim Horton's at
SE corner of McCall Field, just off McCall Way.

For those interested,

We meet for supper at Denny's on Edmonton Trial & McKnight prior to the meeting.
Club meetings may held in other venues, please verify the location with the Newsletter, Yahoo Group (RAACalgary), Mailing list or Club Executive.


Annual Dues (January to December)

Dues $45.00 annually (includes a $15.00 national surcharge) or $30.00 if a RAA National member.
National members receive a quarterly glossy magazine on Canadian amateur builders and their progress.
